Free Webinar — The Tao of Trauma: Chinese Medicine Meets the Neurophysiology of Traumatic Stress

Sunday, August 10, 2025

2 - 3:30 p.m. Eastern

Location: Online via Zoom

Ever wonder how trauma lives in the body?

Curious about somatically-informed trauma healing?

Wonder how trauma is vibrational illness that requires vibrational medicine?

Does integrating the neurophysiology of the Self-Protective response, Polyvagal theory, Adverse Childhood Experiences AND Chinese medicine fascinate you as much as it does us?

Are you a clinician who is curious about bottom-up approaches to restoring coherence in trauma survivors?

Come explore:

The neurophysiology of the Self-Protective Response

PolyVagal Theory

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES)

Chinese Medicine and somatic healing

You will hear how trauma survivors suffer with complex multi-symptom illness and are challenged to find the care needed to transform and heal.

If you are a psychotherapist, acupuncturist, bodyworker, nurse, physician, or other medical provider with patients who suffer from the “strange, rare, and peculiar” symptoms that often arise from dysregulation in the autonomic nervous system, this training is for you. The trauma-curious are welcome too!

We will also be answering your questions about the upcoming year-long Tao of Trauma training — starting this fall in Silver Spring, MD and Hamilton Township, NJ.

Why Tao of Trauma? This is not your average trauma training! The Tao of Trauma training is unique in that it integrates Western neurophysiology and Polyvagal Theory with Chinese medicine. This diagnostic framework allows clinicians to see beyond general dysregulation to more discrete and embodied assessments of brace or collapse. This “bottom-up” approach explores the “issues in the tissues” that are beyond language and can wreak havoc in our body, mind, and spirit.
