Dear Clients,

In light of our primary commitment to your health (both physical and emotional) and due to continuing developments with the spread of COVID-19, TLP Counseling is instituting a two (2) week period of offering teletherapy care only. While certain aspects of in-person therapy cannot be perfectly replicated, this practice it is in line with our evolving public health protocols and state-mandated restrictions.

During the next two (2) weeks, our physical office will remain closed to clients. We will continue to communicate any further changes as we evaluate this situation based on information shared by state and federal authorities.

Our team is working to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible, and our system (SimplePractice) will be generating emails shortly that will include a detailed ‘Client-Provider’ agreement and an ‘Informed Consent for Telehealth’ agreement for you to eSign to enable your next session. Note: You must sign these two in advance of any allowable treatment via Telehealth.

Your Telehealth session will be conducted entirely via SimplePractice’s built-in video conferencing tools.  If you have not yet signed into SimplePractice, please do so as soon as possible or contact your clinician by email to discuss how to sign these forms through alternate methods. While our goal is to make this revised therapy process as simple and stress-free as possible, we also recognize that not everyone is totally comfortable with Telehealth. We understand! Again, our main goal with this decision is to ensure the safety and health of you, your families, our staff and our families.

Please, if you have not had a chance to respond to document emails from SimplePractice; please respond and register your account. As well, (if you are anything like Tracey) write down your password as soon as you create it.

In advance of your first Telehealth session, you may want to test and ensure the video tools work on your computer and browser. Contact your clinician with any SimplePractice video difficulties, so that they can quickly identify an alternate method of communication. We promise to update you if we experience any delays or service issues.

SimplePractice’s Telehealth tools are being provided to everyone at no additional session cost to ensure your therapeutic work isn’t interrupted by ongoing “social distancing” measures.

If you have any questions about this new policy, please reach out to your clinician via email or contact Tracey directly at (609) 933-3075. We want to ensure that your needs are being met to the best of our ability.

All clients seeking insurance reimbursement / PU SHP coverage:  Please note, superbills for all applicable session will reflect counseling via Telehealth. Please contact your insurance provider’s Member Services department to ensure you have existing coverage for telehealth services. Most insurers are adding emergency telehealth coverage for the duration of COVID-19. We hope all insurers will be accommodating, but as always TLP Counseling cannot guarantee insurance coverage or reimbursement.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out via email.

In Health,
Tracey, Eboni, Ross, Caroline, and Daya
